Who are the
Average Joes?
We’re a group of passionate softball players who love the game and value teamwork, sportsmanship, and camaraderie. We play in Division 1 of the Softball Leinster league and compete against other teams in the area, but we’re also all about having fun and enjoying the experience of being out on the field with our teammates.
Where and when
do the Average Joes play?
Our home games are in Walkinstown Avenue Park, Dublin 12. You can use the Eircode D12 VY15 to find us.
For the 2024 season we’ll be playing on Wednesday nights. We’ll have away games in Marlay Park, St Annes Park, Castleknock, Terenure, Ballsbridge and Wicklow. The season runs from April until September. You can find more information at the Softball Leinster website
There are also a bunch of weekend tournaments over the summer played all over Ireland and Europe! Playing between 5 and 12 games over a weekend, it’s the best way to enjoy softball but also the best way to learn the sport!
